Bremen doesn't like Luke

Our class is like a little family. If one of us is going on an adventure....then ALL of us are. 3 of us were going to Bremen, Germany for a Global Crisis Simulation. A few days later.....11 of us had booked our flights via London to Germanland. 11 of the most party-lovin' animals in the class let loose in Germany.....ha...ha. Oh what adventures we had :D Clubs til 9am, bars where every drink was €1, almost going to Amsterdam........oh yeah the Global Crisis yolk was good too :)

Haiti's a Haven

Going to Haiti had the biggest impact on my life everr!!! Besides the fact that I became besties with a Prince (who declared his love for me)and made some really cool buddies, it was incredible. It's far to difficult to explain in detail the daily events of our lives while we lived in Quanaminthe. The place kicked ass. It was beautiful...the food was great, people were AMAZING. There was a woman who cared for over 400 orphans...on her own. She didn't even have a house. They couldn't eat everyday because she had no source of income, yet she still had the heart to care for all of these children who had been orphaned by aids, food insecurity etc. I didn't want to come home at all. I always get attached to places. When I was in 5th year I travelled to Calcutta with the Hope Foundation...I thought that impacted me until I came home from Haiti. Nothing can compare with the mixture of emotions I have for that country. When I found out about the earthquake hitting Port - au - Prince I was devastated. Immediately we rounded up the International Development Society in UCC and began fundraising on campus. Over 3 days we managed to raise €2,500+. Go ussssss!!!! I definately plan on returning to Haiti in the future:)
